My final Project at Auburn University is based around a rescue dog named blue. Blue Dog Brewery is a family owned brewery located in Louisville, Kentucky. Blue Dog Brewery takes its name from a rescue dog, Blue, who went from a life of suffering to a safe, loving family thanks to Woodstock Animal Foundation. It is the same foundation that rescued Blue that now partners with Blue Dog Brewery to host rescue events and raise money to help more rescue dogs. Blue Dog Brewery is known for being a part of the local community and giving residents a place to enjoy good beer and good company. Not only are people invited to enjoy Blue Dog but the canines of the community are welcome as well. Blue Dog Brewery is a place, similar to Blue’s home, where everyone can relax and enjoy.

Each beer can that Blue Dog Brewery crafts related directly back to Blue and her own background. These four beer cans are named Woodstock IPA, Lacy Dog Lager, Blue’s Brew Pale Ale, and Buckshot Stout. On the back of each beer can label is a little story about the background of that specific beer to give the consumer a true understanding of each and every Blue Dog Beer.
Along with each one pint beer can, there is a 7.5 Fl Ounce beer flight can. Like our adoption days with Woodstock Animal Foundation, Blue Dog Brewery wants you to get to know the beer before committing to it. With a canned beer flight to-go, the consumer can taste small amounts of our beers before taking home the real thing. Think of it as fostering a beer.
Beer taps and glassware
Another aspect of creating Blue Dog Brewery is the atmosphere when you are there choosing and drinking your beer. The beer tap matches the atmosphere of the brewery by using a burnt wood engraved beer tap as well as a simplistic design for the glassware.
